MADE FOR HANDS, BY HAND.
Puppets by Jimi is an independent seller and craftsman who creates handmade, professional-grade puppets. His branding was originally limited to his Etsy banner and profile picture, but was overdue for a refresh. He wanted a visual style that could bring fun into e-commerce the same way his puppets bring fun to the stage.

It’s time to get things started.
Regardless of what you may hear from Jim Henson’s legal team, a Muppet isn’t defined by a trademark; it’s a signature look, a cartoon-like face with lots of expression. It’s what separates an old wooden string puppet from a fluffy, felty professional puppet.
This professional but youthful look is what guided the design of the mobile site. It needed to be fun and exuberant, but also guide users through the rather complex task of building and ordering a custom puppet from a palm-sized screen.

The rainbow connection.
Any puppeteer knows that their puppet sidekick is more than a prop; they’re a friend, with a life and personality of their own. For that reason, Puppets by Jimi doesn’t deal in “sales,” but in adoptions. From the website’s puppet builder to the final delivery, every stage is designed to celebrate the new connection between a puppet and its new home.
